雷帝网 雷建平 1月23日报道 2017年春节即将来临之际,小米全球副总裁雨果·巴拉(Hugo Barra)在其Facebook个人主页上宣布,由于健康问题,他决定从小米离职,未来将回到硅谷。 雨果·巴拉特别感谢了小米CEO雷军,称雷军是“导师和朋友”,称雷军请他继续为小米公司担当顾问职责。这距离雨果·巴拉2013年8月加盟,已有近3年半时间。 小米官方已经证实了雨果·巴拉的消息,但未披露其接替人选。 2013年8月,小米势头正猛的时候,时任谷歌全球副总裁雨果·巴拉也是通过社交媒体证实加盟小米。 当时,雨果·巴拉是谷歌典型技术派高管,曾负责谷歌产品包括移动搜索、谷歌地图移动版、语音搜索、垂直搜索、移动广告、Android4.0,通晓葡萄牙,西班牙,法语,英语等国语言。 雨果·巴拉之所以选择加盟小米,原因在于,atv,小米总裁林斌是其在谷歌的多年同事。加入小米创业前,atv,林斌在谷歌任职多年,曾是Android的中国区负责人,与雨果·巴拉私交不错。 林斌在谷歌时,经常给巴拉的项目提供一些必要支持,加上一些项目的协同,彼此很熟悉,并建立不错的私交。林斌离开谷歌参与创办小米时,雨果·巴拉还曾询问过其去向。 值得注意的是,雨果·巴拉是小米最近几个月以来被曝出的第三名副总裁离职。 2017年1月,前小米副总裁张金玲作为副总裁正式加盟百度,任百度资本CFO、兼任百度外卖CFO,向百度CFO李昕晢汇报。 根据介绍,加入百度前,任小米集团副总裁,为小米集团搭建了完整的财务体系,还组建了小米战略投资部,深度领导并参与了多达百余项战略投资项目。 张金玲的投资范围涉及智能硬件、软件、互联网金融、内容及游戏等多个领域。并曾主管小米互联网金融战略布局、业务策划、牌照申请等工作。 更早前,凤凰新媒体宣布原小米副总裁陈彤加盟一点资讯,任总裁一职,兼任凤凰网联席总裁,陈彤将全面负责一点资讯的内容、产品运营和公共关系等工作,及凤凰网内容运营管理。 陈彤是中国网络新闻中的标杆人物,其加盟小米的时候,与其离开小米的时候一样轰动。 雨果·巴拉、陈彤这些高管离职背后,也折射出的是,小米这两年逐渐告别了高速增长,进入瓶颈期的一种困境。 此前,小米召开年会,小米CEO雷军年会现场表示,2017年一个小目标是营收要破千亿。雷军还说,2017年,五大核心战略,黑科技,新零售,国际化,人工智能,互联网金融。 以下为雨果巴拉的文章原文(英文): THANKS FOR A GREAT 3.5 YEARS, MI FANS — When Lei Jun and Bin Lin came to me nearly four years ago with the opportunity to help turn a young rockstar startup into a global player, I embarked on what has been the greatest and most challenging adventure of my life. I moved to Beijing, 6,500 miles out of my comfort zone in Silicon Valley, to build from scratch a startup team within a bigger startup. This journey has been nothing short of spectacular in every way, and I can proudly say that Xiaomi Global is the first baby I helped bring into the world But what I've realized is that the last few years of living in such a singular environment have taken a huge toll on my life and started affecting my health. My friends, what I consider to be my home, and my life are back in Silicon Valley, which is also much closer to my family. Seeing how much I've left behind these past few years, it is clear to me that the time has come to return. As I thought about this late last year, I concluded that Xiaomi is in a very good place on its global expansion path, and if there was ever going to be a good time for me to come back home, that time is now — when I can confidently say our global business is no longer just an in-house startup. We turned India from a dream into Xiaomi’s largest international market with $1 billion in annual revenues, faster than any company in India's history. We expanded into Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and more recently 20 other markets including Russia, Mexico, and Poland. We teamed up with Google to launch our first official product in the US, and with our successful debut at CES 2017 — where we won 3 prestigious awards — the world now sees that Xiaomi is a global player changing the tech industry through our simple promise of bringing innovation to everyone.
